ENJOYING LIFE WITH BACH FLOWER REMEDIES

 by Norma Wingfield

Q: I have ideas and ambitions - but what path do I take?

Q: Everyone seems to be having a good time except me - why?

Q: I'd love to go abroad, but am terrified of flying - how can I ever overcome that?

These may not be the exact questions you ask yourself, but all of us, at times, can be challenged by emotional issues, feelings and responses to things happening in our lives. If we're lucky, we can shake off these negatives feelings and move on, without too much damage.

However, some things in life might affect us more deeply. These negative emotional states then deepen and on some level - consciously or otherwise, impact on the way we think, feel and live our lives.

Bach Flower Remedies are one way of helping our emotions to return to a positive, balanced state. Once we're on an even keel emotionally, there's a greater chance for us to experience harmony and to view our lives more positively.

Bach Flower Remedies were discovered over 70 years ago by Dr Edward Bach (pronounced “Batch”). There are 38 healing flower remedies, each with a specific purpose to restore a negative state for example, jealousy, apathy, feeling overwhelmed, lacking in confidence and  responding to change. Many people may have heard of, or used Rescue Remedy, which is a special combination of remedies used on an emergency situation.

Bach Flower Remedies are available on the high street, stocked in  Boots and many health food shops. The tricky part is actually identifying how you're feeling and which remedy, or remedies are appropriate.

There are several books and self help information available from the Bach Foundation 01491 834678) www.bachcentre.com

They also have a list of registered Bach Flower Practitioners accessed via the website, so your best option maybe to arrange a consultation with one of them, to get specialist expertise in selecting your remedy and restoring balance and harmony to your life.

And in case the questions above were ones you ask of yourself - here are the answers:-

A: Try the Bach Flower Remedy “Wild oat”
