PERSONAL YEAR NUMBER

We live in cycles of 9 years, and during each of those 9 years there is a special job we are meant to do. We can fail because we attempt something at the wrong time. When we know when we are meant to begin or finish something, then we are more likely to be successful.

To understand the 9 year cycle, we can imagine looking after a garden, sowing seeds in year 1 which will develop and grow over the years, until it comes to a natural end in year 9.

The Personal Year you are in at present begins on the day of your last birthday and lasts until your next birthday.

To work out your personal year, add together the numbers of the date of your last birthday eg

13.11.2007

1+3+1+1+2+7 = 15
1+5 = personal year 6

MEANINGS OF PERSONAL YEAR NUMBERS

1 PERSONAL YEAR
This is the first year of a new 9-year cycle. You have a chance to start something new this year, or you could begin again on an old project if it didn’t take off before. As in the garden, it is sowing the seeds for things to bloom and eventually bring you a great harvest in the future.

Find out who you are this year, what are you meant to be doing in life? If you start a new job or a new project this year you should find it easier to get into the swing of things. You’ll find things just fall into place because this is the right time for new beginnings, so enjoy it!

Year 1 is about:

bullet

Getting to know yourself

bullet

New beginnings

bullet

Doing something different

bullet

A new approach to an old problem

So avoid:

bullet

Being lonely

bullet

Feeling cut off

bullet

Repeating old patterns

2 PERSONAL YEAR

In the second year of the cycle you are tending the garden you have sown in your previous year. A newly sown plant needs care and a year 2 is about working with people and things and being part of a team. Its also a year for making decisions. This year you can respond in a new way to get a new outcome!

A good year for spending time with someone you love and building up a very strong relationship. In a family, make sure you show that you are part of their team, take time for other members and realise that its quality, not quantity, that counts in the end.

Year 2 is about:

bullet

Looking after what you began last year

bullet

Working with others

bullet

Making decisions

bullet

Nurturing one-to-one relationships

So avoid:

bullet

Acting like a victim

bullet

Being too needy

bullet

Refusing to make decisions

3 PERSONAL YEAR

A year 3 is about showing your emotions and being creative. Watch the words you use – if you say or think “I’ll never get that job”, or “I never have enough money” that’s what is likely to happen! Change your mind this year and imagine being happy and wealthy. Soon you’ll find that the positive image becomes real in your life.

Be creative, be open about your feelings. Start a diary, paint a picture, or paint the bathroom! Sing in the shower, dig the garden, dance in the dark. No one has to know what you’re doing. Then you’ll be creating a happy and healthy life. One other very important thing you can create this year is a baby!

Year 3 is about:

bullet

Fun and laughter

bullet

Being creative

bullet

Showing how you feel

bullet

Using positive thoughts and words to create the life you want

So avoid:

bullet

Holding back on how you feel

bullet

Being sad

bullet

Negative thoughts and words

4 PERSONAL YEAR

A year 4 is about hard work that helps you to become safe and secure in the long term. This year, it is important to focus on what you want. If you don’t you might be working all the time, like a slave. So set a goal and work towards it. This might mean you have to weed out some things you started in your first year. This is so that the more important things can grow.

Year 4 is a time to ‘feel the fear and do it anyway’ and so break through any barriers holding you back.

Year 4 is about:

bullet

Setting goals

bullet

Hard work

bullet

Facing fears

bullet

Breaking through barriers

So avoid:

bullet

Being a slave

bullet

Letting fear hold you back

bullet

Lacking focus

5 PERSONAL YEAR

In a year 5 you are more than half way through your 9-year cycle, so if you’ve worked well so far you’ll now begin to see results – just as buds begin to show in your garden before they come into full bloom. It is a year to face conflict and bring about change. Often we hide from conflict and pretend things are ok when they aren’t. Even more weeding may be needed, and this is a great time to kick a bad habit. If you smoke or drink too much, put up with bad behaviour or repeat the same mistakes, you’ll find it is easier to stop this year. So give it a go! Aim to build a happy, healthy life just as you would take care in building a great house or a beautiful garden.

Year 5 is about:

bullet Making changes
bullet Facing conflict
bullet Starting new patterns of behaviour
bullet Building a new lifestyle

So avoid:

bullet Hiding from conflict
bullet Living in denial
bullet Repeating bad behaviour patterns

6 PERSONAL YEAR

Year 6 is about love and self-esteem. It is vital to love yourself before you can accept true love from someone else. Self-esteem is how you see your own worth. Do you feel you are worthwhile? Do you deserve good things in your life? In this year you may feel you deserve better than you have in your present life and love life. If so, do not settle for second best.

None of us are meant to be perfect. We can only do our best. Learn to laugh at yourself and at life, then you can love yourself and truly love others.

Year 6 is about:

bullet

Having a healthy self-esteem

bullet

Loving yourself and others

bullet

Romance

So avoid:

bullet

Judging yourself

bullet

Low self-esteem

bullet

Judging others

7 PERSONAL YEAR

Year 7 is all about learning and being patient. There’s so much to learn it seems like there’s no end to it! You may like to study for exams this year or attend a course or workshop to learn about something new.

This is a good time to seek other people’s opinions, but make your choice based on your own instinct. Instinct is another word for ‘intuition’. This means ‘tuition’ that you get from ‘inside yourself’. When you follow your intuition you can be sure you are on the right road.

Year 7 is about:

bullet Learning
bullet Trusting your inner voice
bullet Being patient

So avoid:

bullet Putting more trust in others than in yourself
bullet Being impatient
bullet Repeating mistakes

8 PERSONAL YEAR

Year 8 is harvest time! You’ve worked hard, you’ve planned things out, you’ve been patient and now you are going to reap your rewards. This is the year when you can bring in that plentiful harvest. All the work you have put in during the last 7 years will now pay you back, so open your arms to receive your rewards!

This is also a good year for buying or selling property or investing your money. Balance is important, so don’t go overboard. It is also a year when you may find you need more out of life than just money, so do something that makes a difference. The number 8 looks like 2 rings joined together, so it could be a good year for marriage.

Year 8 is about:

bullet Enjoying your harvest
bullet Doing things that matter
bullet Being balanced in your life

So avoid:

bullet Going overboard
bullet Wasting money

9 PERSONAL YEAR

Year 9 is the last year of your current cycle and just as in nature, you’ll find lots of things come to a natural end, like the leaves falling off the trees. Look at a garden at the end of the year – everything seems to have died off and there’s no new growth around. The garden isn’t dead, its just resting. Your life is like the garden – you’ve done a good job and its now time to take a break and rest. Only by doing this can you store up energy ready for the burst of activity when you begin afresh in your next 9-year cycle.

This year is a time to finish things, so make an extra effort to clear the desk, to clean the house, to finish off that project. Everything will work towards you finishing things this year, so try not to start anything that you want to last for a long time.

Year 9 is about:

bullet Finishing things off
bullet Doing things that have been put on the shelf
bullet Clearing out old things

So avoid:

bullet Starting a long-term project
bullet Seeking a long-term romance
bullet Holding on to old hurts
